Hello All. Thanks for visiting our website. My name is Megan. I’ve lived in Lake Charles for 10 years. It’s a place of true southern hospitality, and it also has a large gay community. I felt having a Pride Festival in Lake Charles would help make the LGBT community of Southwest Louisiana feel appreciated and accepted in their hometown. I also thought if we could come out and show ourselves as citizens it would improve general public knowledge about the LGBT community in this area and help educate people to overcome their prejudices. If you feel like Lake Charles deserves a Pride Festival, I urge you to get involved. Attendance at our events is how we measure our success. I would like to invite everyone – gay, straight, bi, transgender, whatever you identify as – to please come out in support of making Lake Charles an even better place to live.
